Things that annoy me at 7:18am
Well, seeing as how we are trying to make a turn back to the basics...I thought that I would start with a list that I have been making over the last few weeks. Every morning, and I kid you not - every single morning - I get woken up by my roommate who shall remain nameless (but everyone knows who she is). Now, I am well aware that I am a light sleeper, but seriously... give me a break! I'm sure that a lot of non-light sleepers (heavy sleepers for those of you who it was hurting trying to get that phrase straightened out) would wake up under the same conditions and so I submit this list for your consideration:
10- Reading a magazine or newspaper in bed (not quiet page turning like with books)
9- Folding laundry that you did the night before (you know the kind of folding where you whip it first to get the wrinkles out!)
8- Turning music on of any kind - Am I the only one this bothers?
7- Blowing your nose over and over! Go to a different room!
6- Talking to me... just because I open my eyes (you woke me up) doesn't mean that I want to talk, leave me alone... I'm trying to sleep
5- Talking on your phone - Hi, I'm five feet away in the same room - whispering just makes it worse!
4- Pulling out every hanger in the closet so that you can hang your wet clothes around the room. For those that don't know, this is not a quiet activity - lots of clicking and clacking! NO MORE
WIRE HANGERS!!!
3- Turning the light on - I don't do it at night when you are asleep, don't do it in the morning when I'm asleep.
2- Loading up your backpack - Do you really have to pull out every book and paper that you own and then throw it all back in and then zip it all up two inches from my head???
1- The Coat made of paper and plastic - don't put your coat on until you are ready to leave! Don't swish, scratch and swoosh for 15 minutes... I don't want to hear it and neither does anyone else, can't you find something made of cotton?
0- EATING!!! I can barely handle the sound of people eating when I am awake (and even then not so well). Trust me on this one - It is worse when I am sleeping...
Well, there is is folks, finally out in the open and hot diggity dog does it feel good! True, I am well aware of some of the absurdities and eccentricities of the list (and me), but I feel there is some foundation to it and therefore it is justified! Until my next rant...

I would hate to get wakened everyday by these annoying things. This is definetely worse than an alarm clock. I also hate it when people talk to me when I am just getting up.
Good blog. I can relate to that one well. Don't forget turning the light on either.
One thing that's bugged me much is my roommate, (we'll call him Peter) click click clicks on his computer keyboard, and that's not quiet. Anything else I can sleep through (his 80 decibel snoring- done. Computer clicking- that's a no-go)
Wow, I definitely know about your despise for the "eating sound" as I have been on the bad end of that wrath on previous occasions. I've learned my lesson.
